Jofs Mk I

The Jofs Mk I was designed in 1997 by Kenneth Jofs in Finland for Rikard and Peter Bjurström.
It is a heavy boat with a displacement of 317kg and about the same sailarea as a NorlinMk III.
She was built in strip plank/epoxy at a boatbuilding school in Finland.
According to the designer she sufferd from overweight structure and consequently less than optimum RM.
A destiny not uncommon in the 2,4mR class. Saildesign does not look to good in this picture either.
In spite of this she showed potential and the designer holds the opinion that the design was good but the
execution was not good enough.

Jofs Mk II

Jofs Mk II was designed in 2002 by Kenneth Jofs with the aim to come up with a light wind racer.
Others has found the small wetted surface/little displacement corner of the design spectrum
a less prosperous area to exploit and Kennet Jofs Mk II did not add anything new to this conclusion.
I must say thogh that the lines are very nice to the eye.

If Rikard or Peter Bjurström reads this I would be happy to receive any further info7Pictures they might have.
